SSO Season 2023/24: A Must-See Lineup

Featuring our very own members

The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) Season 2023/24 is finally open for booking, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the news with you! This season, some of our very own members will be collaborating with other musicians as part of the VCHpresents series.

Our talented members Anne-Maria Lim, Phoon Yu, Loraine Muthiah, Isaac Lee, and Dr. Margaret Chen will be showcasing their pipe organ skills in various performances throughout the season. These performances include:

Acoustic Shock: An Organ and Electronic Music Spectacular

This performance on 20 August 2023 will feature a unique blend of organ and electronic music, with our very own Anne-Maria accompanying Benjamin Ang, one half of the electronic music duo, Cosmic Armchair. Get your tickets here.

Unboxing the Organ

On 1 October 2023, Phoon Yu will be performing with The Lorong Boys in a program that promises to showcase the versatility of this pipe organ as they aim to entertain the audience about music. Leave your school homework behind, buy your tickets here and watch them bring down the house!

🎃 A Haunted Halloween Hymn 🕸️

Get your Halloween costumes and face paints ready as Loraine Muthiah and the Singapore Symphony Chorus present a program that will spooky and haunting music from Dan Forrest, Wojciech Kilar, Andrew Lloyd Webber on 28 and 29 October 2023. For a spook-tabular night of music that’s so good that it’ll raise the dead (and your spirits), look no further than here.

Chloe and Isaac Go Baroque

Join Isaac Lee and Chloe Chua on 5 and 6 January 2024 as they perform refined Baroque gems written for the organ and violin from the likes of Veracini, Vitalini and Locatelli. Get your tickets here —breeches, virago sleeves and powdered wigs are optional.

Creation Dance: Richard Brasier

We’re thrilled to be collaborating with VCH for an organ recital by Richard Brasier on 23 March 2024, in a program that promises a unique and unforgettable experience as he tackles music from Bach, Franck, Liszt and even Mozart! Tickets here.

The Crow and the Dove
